We think these colorful Monk Bags are absolutely stunning. Living Compassion has hired Martin Chibwe, a talented Zambian tailor, to create these bags out of mix-and-match swatches of local chitenge fabric.
Each bag has spacious 12"x12" outer and inner pockets and a 16" strap. No two bags are alike, but they do have something in common: they all provide employment to Zambian people like Martin and the tailors with whom he shares his work.
Martin is also teaching the women of Kantolomba to make bags, placemats, and much-needed mosquito nets. In a country with over 80% unemployment, the purchase of one of these bags has a big impact. All proceeds benefit Living Compassion’s Africa Vulnerable Children Projects.
You can make a difference
All the proceeds from these bags, after paying the tailors, go back to benefit Living Compassion’s Africa Vulnerable Children Project.
